The Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi organizes colloquia, seminars and conferences and provides a platform to the researchers and intellectuals from different disciplines to share their knowledge and ideas with each other and as a norm Mathematics Society of IoBM every year organizes a colloquium in mathematics that covers the application of the selected topic in the fields of Business, Economics, Computer Science, Management and Finance.

You are now invited to participate and present your research at a gathering of selected academicians on the topic:

"FORECASTING"

APPLICATIONS IN ACTUARIAL SCIENCE, BUSINESS, COMPUTER SCIENCE, ECONOMICS, ENGINEERING, FINANCE & MANAGEMENT

Participants would be national experts on the theme of the colloquium. Due time will be available for discussion and open exchange of ideas. Pre-reviewed selected papers will be presented and there will be plenty of opportunities for informal contacts in an academic surrounding.

Selected papers may be considered for publishing in PBR (Pakistan Business Review of IoBM).

Time schedule

In spite of its undeniable importance and existence of qualified experts, Mathematics, as a whole is not getting proper attention. To address this problem and to find strategies to flourish and develop the subject, IoBM has decided to conduct a series of Mathematics Colloquium. The four consecutive Colloquiums on OPTIMIZATION (2007), SIMULATION (2008), FINANCIAL MATHEMATICS (2009), and RISK MANAGEMENT (2010) with applications in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Management, and Finance were well appreciated. The 5th IoBM Mathematics Colloquium scheduled on March 12, 2011 will address:

In addition to the main theme we also welcome Articles / Presentations / Discussions related to “FORECASTING”.

The objective of the Colloquium is to bring the learned experts at one place and to provide a platform for academic discussions.

Kindly send us your Paper Synopsis (not more than 300 words) latest by 15th January 2011.

Paper Selection

The paper selection will be based on its relevance with the topic area of the Colloquium and will be approved by a selection committee of the Mathematics Society. You will hear from us about your paper within one week after submission.
