The
Institute of Business Management has been permitted by
the Government of Sindh to institute Intermediate level courses in the areas
of Commerce, Science and Humanities.
The
Institute of Business Management undertook this task due
to the realization that pre-university education has
suffered a major setback during the last two decades.
Academic standards have declined and indiscipline at
educational institutions has become rampant. Thus even
motivated and hard working students are forced to waste
some of the most productive years of their lives.
The
Institute is the parent body of Karachi’s leading business school,
the College of Business Management (CBM), which is its first
constituent College. CBM has produced more than 500 graduates
and has strong links with Pakistan’s main multinational and
national business organizations.
The
College of Economics and Social Development (CESD) is CBM’s
sister enterprise. It maintains the same high standards of academic
excellence, discipline and personality development. Students
qualifying from CESD will have preferential admission access
to BBA (Hons) program at CBM and the BCS program at College
of Computer Science and Information Systems (CCSIS). They may
also pursue for their BA (Hons) degree courses in other liberal
arts disciplines at CESD.
Why
Study at the College of Economics and Social Development (CESD)?
•
Preferential access to CBM, CCSIS and CESD degree level entry
• Highest academic standards
• Strong emphasis on personality development
• Disciplined work environment

One of the
strengths of the program is the incorporation of
information technology as a key component of the
curriculum. The program requires students to obtain
hands on experience on microcomputers and develop a high
level of expertise in this field. It equips the students
with all the computer related knowledge required by
business managers.
