THE IoBM LIBRARY

The IoBM library has been established with the primary aim of supporting the teaching, learning and research activity at IoBM, by providing a conducive learning environment for study and research, by making available the library resources, and by actively facilitating the use of library collection and services to its members. It has over eighteen thousand resources including Reference material, and thirty five subscribed journals in print, and access to electronic journals through the HEC Digital Library and JSTOR  on subscription. The library has two large Reading Halls and provides sixty three PCs with Internet access, where members login with their own accounts.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

• Students must fill in a library membership application, in order to become a member.

• Show library membership card when borrowing and returning books.

• The membership card is not transferable and must be surrendered to the Librarian at the end of the program and get a Clearance.

• A lost card will be replaced by a new one for a fee of Rs.100/-.

• Students can borrow two books for two weeks duration.

• There is a fine of Rs. 10/- per day for an overdue book.

• Reference books, Journals, Reports, cannot be borrowed.

• Briefcases, Handbags, Personal Belongings, Binders, and Files etc. must be left outside the library at owners own responsibility.

• Books can be reissued only once.

• Current price is to be paid by the library member for a lost/damaged library book.

• If a library material is taken out through the security door, without getting issued, he will pay a penalty of Rs.1000 and/or liable to disciplinary action.

• Photocopy of full book is not allowed.

• Any kind of food, drinks and smoking are not allowed in the library.

• Library telephone facility is only for library staff.

• Silence must be observed all the times.

• Use of Mobile phone is strictly not allowed in the library and there is a penalty of Rs.500 if a member is found using the mobile.

• Holding meetings and group discussion is allowed only in Cubicles with prior booking.

• A student will be sent to Disciplinary Committee if he breaks above Rules or if he misbehaves with library staff or fellow Students.

• Lockers have been provided for convenience of students and all valuables should kept in the Lockers at their own risk.

• Library timing are 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday to Thursday), 8:15 a.m to 7 p.m. (Saturday, Sunday).
