PROGRAM
The
MBA in Banking
provides a sound analytical framework for the study
of banking and financial development from a
management perspective. At a practical level, it
provides the opportunity to improve general business
and management skills and develop specialized
technical skills necessary for executives working in
the areas of banking and finance. It also offers the
chance to gain relevant specialist knowledge in the
areas of regulation, and strategic management, of
the local as well as global financial services
sector. An important feature of the program is its
coverage of Islamic Banking.
The program is
specifically designed for students contemplating a
career in the banking and financial services
industry and for those students/professionals who
have relevant practical experience and wish to
enhance their skills in the areas of banking and
finance. Banking and finance professionals who deal
with the financial services industry may also take
this program to familiarize themselves with the
latest banking practices, including that of
E-commerce.

BBA
(Honors)
CBM students who have completed BBA (Honors)
four-year program have the option of completing MBA
in Banking in one year. With the exception of core
courses in Banking and Finance they are exempted
from all other core courses (except Electronic
Commerce) and foundation courses. To complete MBA in
Banking they must take a total of 12 courses,
including core and elective courses.
Note: If a student has
taken any core course(s) of this program in their
BBA (Honors) program as one of the elective course
he/she needs to take substitute course(s) from the
list of specialized courses.

MBA in Banking requires students
to complete twenty-four courses spread over four
regular semesters. A summer internship with a firm
approved by the college and a Banking/Applied
Finance project are also required. Students must
attain a 3.0 CGPA for conferment of the degree.
The program consists
