IoBM and Stratford University signed an MoU

EMEC – IoBM plans to bring capacity building programs in Hotel Management, in collaboration with Stratford University, Virginia, USA.

During the month of February 2019, Dr. Richard Shurtz, President, Stratford University with his international team visited IoBM and called on President IoBM Mr. Talib S. Karim and discussed areas of mutual cooperation. Later, in March 2019, Mr. Talib Karim visited Stratford University, Virginia-USA and in his visit he met leading faculty and President Dr. Shurtz.

Continuing the discussion – on April 15, 2019, IoBM signed an MoU with Stratford University in a ceremony held at IoBM. The MoU was signed by Mr. Talib Karim, President IoBM & Mr. Feroze Khan, Vice President International Development, Stratford University, USA.

Stratford University offers internationally respected culinary and hospitality programs, catering to the needs of both, the seasoned professionals and fresh entrants in the hospitality management industry. As employers in this blooming industry are increasingly seeking managers with specialized university degrees and certificates, EMEC at IoBM plans to produce quality, future hospitality industry leaders.

This collaboration will share and draw on the strengths and experiences, exchange of knowledge, ideas, networks & resources, and capacity building activities between EMEC-IoBM and the Stratford University.

Under this arrangement, EMEC at IoBM plans to bring Diploma & Certificate Programs in Hospitality Management. The students will also gain credit transfers to Stratford University after attending the Diploma program at IoBM.

Other similar engagements are also under consideration where IoBM students can go for the degree programs hosted by Stratford University including business management, technology, healthcare management and other disciplines, as an exchange student.
