Dr. Muhammad Usman, Assistant Professor in Economics holds a Ph.D. from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has secured his MAS (Master of Applied Sciences) from Applied Economics Research Center (AERC), University of Karachi. He has a wide experience in teaching, research, and conducting projects. His several research projects are completed under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and the University of Malaya. His areas of interest are social and behavioral sciences including not-for-profit organizations, faith-based organizations, Islamic Economics and finance, Islamic Social finance, and, especially the institution of waqf. He has published various of his research articles and book chapters in the nationally and internationally recognized refereed journals and presented his research findings at various international conferences. At present, he is associated with the College of Economics and Social Development (CESD), Institute of Business Management (IoBM) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics.
