Ghulam Abbas, Assistant Professor in the Mathematics and Statistics Department, has an M.Phil. in Finance from Iqra University and an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Karachi. He has more than 33 years of teaching experience at graduate and undergraduate levels in various reputed business schools in Karachi. He has always taught quantitative subjects such as operations research, mathematical economics, algebra, calculus, statistics, etc. In one of the universities, he changed the teaching culture by introducing various software. He brought teaching from the traditional classrooms to the computer labs. Apart from teaching, he also has work experience of more than twelve years in the financial sector as an economist.
