Dr. Imran Batada, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Director Center For Information Technology (CIT) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi has signed a contract with NAVTTC. “This program holds a special place in my heart as I had the opportunity to work on the PC1 document for this initiative,” Dr. Batada said on the occasion.
These courses will be provided free of cost to the youth, paving the way for increased remote job opportunities and a growing community of freelancers. By directly impacting the GDP of Pakistan, this initiative has proven to be instrumental in moving our country in the right direction and building the capacity of our youth.
This marks the 4th Round of Hightech courses. The previously initiated programs by NAVTTC have made a transformative impact on individuals, empowering them with valuable skills and opening doors to new economic opportunities.
The initiative to provide free high-tech courses, as signed by Dr. Imran Batada and NAVTTC, aligns with several key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It directly supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by offering accessible, high-quality education, equipping young individuals with valuable skills in the tech industry. SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) is also addressed, as the program creates remote job opportunities and promotes freelance work, boosting economic growth and reducing unemployment in Pakistan. By targeting marginalized groups, the initiative supports SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), ensuring wider participation in the digital economy. It also addresses SDG 1 (No Poverty) by empowering disadvantaged youth with skills that enhance financial independence and social mobility. Finally, the program fosters innovation and supports SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by preparing the youth to contribute to Pakistan’s technological progress. This highlights the initiative’s role in advancing both human capital development and national economic growth.
