The Institute of Business Management (IoBM), in collaboration with its "Vanquisher" Sports Society, successfully hosted the 1st IoBM Inter-University Summer Racket Sports Fest 2025. This pioneering event, strategically held during the quieter summer session, successfully achieved its aim of keeping students engaged, active, and connected through the spirit of sport.
Despite the ongoing summer break, the Summer Racket Sports Fest 2025 garnered enthusiastic participation from 20 leading universities across Karachi, with over 150 student-athletes demonstrating their skills in three core racket sports disciplines: Table Tennis (Boys & Girls), Badminton (Boys & Girls), and Squash (Boys & Girls). IoBM's sports teams delivered an exceptional performance, securing the Overall Champion Trophy with an impressive total of 178 points. Their dominant display translated into a substantial medal tally, comprising 07 Gold Medals and 07 Silver Medals. IQRA University was recognized as the Overall Runner-Up, earning 75 points.
The Closing Ceremony was graced by the inspiring presence of Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Vice President, Foundation for Higher Education (FHE) and Chief Advisor, IoBM (Chief Guest); Mr. Mohsin (Guest of Honour); Mr. Arif Nakhuda, Ex-International Table Tennis Player (Guest of Honour); Mrs. Rubina Arif, Former National Table Tennis Player (Guest of Honour); and Mr. Muhammad Misbahuddin, GM, HR and Senior Advisor to the Vice President (Guest of Honour).
The IoBM Sports Department extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Senior Management of IoBM for their unwavering support and commitment to promoting sports as an essential component of holistic education. Their encouragement was instrumental in the successful execution of this inaugural event, which fostered healthy competition and a strong sense of unity among the participating institutions.
