Faysal Bank donates PKR 5.0 million to IoBM for the utilization of funds for Zakat-eligible students



Mr. Yousaf Hussain, President and CEO, Faysal Bank met Mr. Talib Karim, President, Institute of Business Management (IoBM) on Thursday, March 02, 2023. During the meeting, Faysal Bank donated PKR 5.0 million to IoBM for the utilization of funds for Zakat-eligible students. During the discussion, they shared views on future collaborations and deliberated upon how to bridge academia-industry linkages. 

Faysal Bank's generous donation of PKR 5.0 million to the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) aligns with several key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targeted through collaboration are as follows:
•    SDG 1: No Poverty-By supporting Zakat-eligible students, the bank plays a crucial role in reducing poverty levels and enhancing educational opportunities for disadvantaged groups, thereby fostering inclusive access to quality education.
•    SDG 4: Quality Education- This initiative promotes quality education, ensuring that students from low-income backgrounds can access the resources needed to pursue their academic goals.
•    SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals-The donation strengthens academia-industry linkages, showcasing effective collaboration between educational institutions and private sector entities to address social challenges. Such partnerships are essential for achieving the SDGs, demonstrating a commitment to not just educational excellence but also to social equity and sustainable development.
