The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) held the President’s Merit Scholarship 2019 distribution ceremony on Saturday, February 29, 2020. From IoBM, Mr. Talib Karim, President, Mr. Bashir Janmohammad, Chancellor, Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Executive Director and Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Rector along with Deans, HoDs, faculty, management, students and their parents attended this event. The event began with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Humayun Baig. The Master of Ceremonies at this occasion was Ms. Tazeen Arsalan, HoD Accounting and Finance Department.
During his address, Mr. Talib Karim congratulated the meritorious students and their parents. He advised students to spend time with their parents and engage in activities that build the community. He said that the students must learn values from their parents and inculcate them in their lives to become a better person and a better professional. Mr. Talib Karim commended the instrumental role of Mr. Bashir Janmohammed in being associated with IoBM for over two decades.
While speaking at the occasion, Mr. Bashir Janmohammed congratulated the students and viewed that their success in academics was a result of the sacrifices and efforts made by their parents. Mr. Bashir shared the role and efforts of IoBM’s President and Executive Director in creating IoBM a distinguished business management institute that does not deprive anyone of receiving education. He specially mentioned the vision of late Founder President IoBM, Shahjehan S. Karim who worked tirelessly to establish IoBM that has now become a prestigious business management institution of Pakistan. Meritorious students who shared their experience of studying at IoBM were Ms. Saba Khan, Ms. Sana Ahmed, Ms. Maira Imtiaz and Ms. Aqsa Baig.
This event could not have been a success without the guidance of Ms. Sabina Mohsin. She received complete support from Mr. Imdad Ali Mugheri, Manager and HoD Admissions. Mr. Muhammad Hassan Sayeed, Assistant Manager, Admissions precisely maintained important details of the Merit Certificate distribution ceremony. Mr. Asad Hussain and Mr. Amir Ali of the Admissions Department also worked diligently to complete seating arrangements and ushering of students and their parents.
