Late Shahjehan S. Karim’s legacy remembered



The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) commemorated the birthday of its Late Founder President Shahjehan S. Karim on September 22, 2020. This day also marks the 25th anniversary of IoBM. Mr. Talib Karim, President and Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Executive Director along with the management, faculty, and staff presented tributes to late Shahjehan S. Karim’s life, career, and his vision of excellence in imparting quality higher education in Pakistan. The speakers shared the values and principles as followed by the late Founder President that are cherished and pursued in letter and spirit by the IoBM family.

Speakers included Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Rector IoBM; Dr. Shahida Wizarat, Dean CESD; Dr. Fareeda Ibad, Associate Professor & Senior Fellow, SSK Academic Writing Center; Dr. Samra Javed, HoD ORIC and EMEC; Mr. Ejaz Wasay, HoD Media Studies and Sr. Fellow Marketing; Mr. Malik Barolia, Manager Salary and Compensation; Mr. Javed Ahmed, Senior Fellow, Innovation and Strategy; Mr. Nabhan Karim, HoD Media Productions; Mr. Khalid Bin Muhammad; Assistant Professor, CCSIS; Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Secretary to late Founder President and current President, and Mr. Arif Sheikh, Senior Maintenance Officer.

The speakers presented glowing tributes in memory of the late Founder President, Shahjehan S. Karim. They shared the late Founder President’s traits as a successful leader who served Pakistan in the civil services and later dedicated his life in establishing and building IoBM as a premier business school of Pakistan. The speakers touched upon the values and principles that the late Founder President followed and how his family and the IoBM family is pursuing the same ideals. During their speeches, the speakers shared such examples and incidents from the late Founder President’s life that highlighted his commitment to excellence, vision for a brighter Pakistan, and the dedication to continue working for IoBM until his last breath.
