Washington Accord is a multi-lateral agreement between bodies responsible for accreditation or recognition of tertiary-level engineering qualifications within their jurisdictions who have chosen to work collectively to assist the mobility of professional engineers. Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is a process that involves assessment and evaluation practices in education to reflect the attainment of expected learning and show mastery in the program area. BE in Electrical Engineering program offered by EE Department at IoBM is accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under the new accreditation system of outcome-based education (OBE) which PEC adopted after becoming a signatory of the Washington Accord.

The OBE Webinar Training for Faculty and Lab Engineers at IoBM aims to focus on the objective and outcome-driven teaching, where every stated objective and outcome can be assessed and evaluated. It is centered around the needs of the students and the stakeholders. Graduates will be more “relevant” to the industry and other stakeholders (all-rounders); Continual Quality Improvement (CQI) is an inevitable consequence. The focus of this webinar is the use of Complex Engineering Problem (CEPs), Project-Based Learning. The trainers explain the assessment of Final Year Projects, Course Projects, and Assignments using CEPs.and map them to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
