During his speech, Captain Ahmed shared the business model of SalamAir and discussed how the aviation industry operates. His experience and insights were helpful for the students pursuing their business management studies. The audience was inspired by Captain Ahmed’s resilience that he displayed after his leg was amputated following a life-threatening accident. Today, he is the only pilot with disability having a commercial flying license.
Captain Ahmed shared with the audience the need to perfect the skills that we possess. This allows a person to understand his strengths and weaknesses. He talked about the need to own a business and serve the society. Captain Ahmed said that since the aviation industry in Muslim countries is as good as that of Europe there is no reason why Muslim pilots must fall behind their European counterparts. A question and answer session with students added much depth to the discussion. Mr. Talib Karim presented mementos to the guests at the end of this inspiring session.
