Farewell lunch for Dr. Ejaz Ahmed and Mr. Parvez Jamil

Dr. Ejaz Ahmed and Mr. Parvez Jamil gave their heart and soul to IoBM and dedicated their lives to add value to the Institute with their wisdom and experience. 

Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Executive Director, Administration, Admissions and Finance, Institute of Business Management (IoBM) along HoDs and managers who are members of the Administration Committee, hosted a farewell lunch to honor the valuable services of Dr. Ejaz Ahmed and Mr. Parvez Jamil upon their retirement from IoBM. This lunch was held at the dining hall of the Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC), IoBM on Thursday, June 13, 2019. IoBM’s Mr. Talib S. Karim, President; Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Rector along with members of IoBM’s Administration Committee were present on this occasion. This farewell lunch, according to Ms. Sabina Mohsin, was an extension of the Eid Milan 2019 celebration at IoBM. The dessert (ice cream) served at this lunch was a kind gesture from Mr. Mohsin Furqan.

Dr. Ejaz Ahmed retired as Dean, College of Computer Science and Information Systems, (CCSIS), IoBM after serving for nearly 16 years. He also rendered his services as Rector, IoBM. Mr. Parvez Jamil was senior faculty and HoD, Public Affairs Section, IoBM who served the Institute for 15 years. Both Dr. Ejaz Ahmed and Mr. Parvez Jamil gave their heart and soul to IoBM as faculty and as part of the management and dedicated their lives to add value to the Insititute.

Mr. Talib Karim thanked Dr. Ejaz Ahmed and Mr. Parvez Jamil for their invaluable contribution to IoBM. He said that everyone needs to step down at some point in life however the association with the organization or the institute must continue. He opined that faculty do not retire as is the case in the United States, therefore, the faculty needs to continuously adapt themselves with the latest trends in curriculum development and technology. Mr. Talib Karim was hopeful that Dr. Ejaz Ahmed and Mr. Parvez Jamil will retain their association with IoBM in the capacity of an advisor and consultant.

Dr. Ejaz Ahmed thanked Mr. Talib Karim, Ms. Sabina Mohsin, the management and faculty for their support during his tenure at IoBM. Dr. Ejaz Ahmed especially mentioned of IoBM’s late Founder President, Shahjehan S. Karim, who always supported and motivated him. Mr. Parvez Jamil, while speaking on the occasion pledged to donate Rs. 20,000 from his full and final settlement and donate it to IoBM’s society, Social Welfare and Trust (SWAT). Mr. Pavez Jamil’s kind gesture was well-appreciated and acknowledged by Mr. Talib Karim, Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Syed Maqbool ur Rehman, advisor SWAT and by members of the Administration Committee.
