IoBM students present business ideas at Entrepreneurship Expo 2019

The Entrepreneurship Department, Institute of Business Management (IoBM) organized an “Entrepreneurship Expo 2019” at Room 314, Academic Building, IoBM on Saturday, August 3, 2019. This is for the second time that the Entrepreneurship Department of IoBM has organized such an exhibition in 2019.

Mr. Talib Karim, President IoBM, who was accompanied by Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah, MD and CEO, Dr Essa Laboratory and Diagnostic Centre, visited the stalls and inquired students about their projects. Earlier, Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Rector, IoBM inaugurated the Entrepreneurship Expo 2019, which was well-attended by students and faculty. Mushtaq Ashraf Murtazavi, Central Chairman, Central Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony Pakistan (CPCIH) Pakistan, Sadiq Sayani, Chairman, Information Technology Wing, Karachi Division, CPCIH; Abdul Rauf Butt, Chairman, Karachi Division, CPCIH, Seema Ghulam Mohiuddin, Spokesperson, Karachi Division, CPCIH and Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bukhari, Central President, CPCIH were invited to this Expo. IoBM Entrepreneurship Department’s Dr. Omar Javaid, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, Sardar Muhammad Nawaz, Noman Mehmood, Bazla Khan, Misha Ali, Samiya Hameed, Rehan Muzammil Butt and Syed Abdul Basit played a key role in organizing this Expo.

This Expo translated the entrepreneurial vision of IoBM students of Summer Semester 2019 enrolled in the course of Entrepreneurship and those studying in the BS Entrepreneurship Program. Students presented their products and services with the primary purpose of fulfilling a need and by establishing a sustainable enterprise. This has also been the vision of Mr. Talib S. Karim, who urges IoBM students to pursue entrepreneurial projects to become job creators and not job seekers. Students at the Expo presented their products and services from the following categories: health, food, tourism, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), handicraft, garments, technology, online consultancy interior designing, printing and publishing, automobile maintenance, content development etc.
