KE and IoBM join hands for a greener Karachi

The Sustainable Living Society (SLS), Institute of Business Management (IoBM) organized a Green Campus Model Initiative in collaboration with K-Electric (KE) on Monday, August 5, 2019, at the IoBM convocation area. A tree plantation drive was also held where K-Electric donated the saplings to IoBM.

Zehra Mehdi, Deputy Director, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability, K-Electric; Momina Jadoon, Deputy Manager, Marketing and Communications – Sustainability, K-Electric and Mahmood Leghari, Manager Sports, K-Electric were invited as guests.

From IoBM Mr. Talib Karim, President; Dr. Shahid Amjad, HoD Environment and Energy Management and faculty advisor SLS; Riaz Akbar Contractor, Proctor, Manager Sports and Student Affairs, Nabhan Karim, Assistant Manager, Media Studies, Anum Taseer, President SLS and office bearers of SLS were present on this occasion. During his speech, Mr. Talib Karim thanked K-Electric for donating saplings to IoBM. He said it is the duty of all citizens to keep Karachi clean and green. He was hopeful that IoBM and KE will continue to collaborate on similar projects in the future. The students from primary section of the Creek School, IoBM also participated in this event.
