Students from the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) recently visited DSV Pakistan, the local operation of DSV, a leading global transport and logistics company headquartered in Denmark. The visit was organized to provide students with practical exposure to real-world logistics and supply chain operations, helping them bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practice.
During the visit, students observed how DSV Pakistan efficiently manages key logistics functions such as warehousing, distribution, freight forwarding, and transportation—both locally and globally. They witnessed live operations, engaged with industry professionals, and developed a deeper understanding of how large-scale logistics networks function within Pakistan’s dynamic supply chain sector.
The session offered valuable insights into the challenges, opportunities, and global best practices shaping the logistics industry. Students benefited from meaningful interactions with DSV’s professionals, who shared their expertise on current industry trends, operational strategies, and evolving career opportunities in the field.
The educational tour was coordinated by Hafiz Muhammad Ahmed Siddiqui, ensuring a well-organized and impactful learning experience. IoBM’s Operations, Environmental, and Supply Chain Management students expressed their appreciation for the hospitality and knowledge shared by Mr. Sibtey, Mr. Qamar, and Mr. Asif, whose warm welcome and informative sessions enriched the students’ understanding of real-world business practices.
