In his address, Mr. Talib Syed Karim, President of IoBM, celebrated the institute’s upcoming 30th anniversary on September 22, 2025, marking a significant milestone. He proudly noted that many IoBM alumni hold prestigious C-level positions in the corporate and banking sectors, a testament to the institute’s commitment to instilling strong values in its students. Confident in the new generation’s potential, he expressed optimism that their acumen would drive success and elevate Pakistan to new heights. While acknowledging the value of pursuing opportunities abroad, he emphasized the abundant prospects available within Pakistan. Mr. Talib Karim urged students to become job creators rather than job seekers, highlighting the Shahjehan S. Karim Incubation Center, which supports students in transforming viable ideas into reality. He highlighted IoBM’s core values: learning, integrity, motivation, innovation, teamwork, leadership, excellence, sustainability, and service. These are derived from the word Limitless from IoBM's slogan “We are Limitless.” He encouraged students to join student societies and participate in events. He also explained the academic system, including the Continuous Assessment System, Academic Counseling, the importance of attendance, and the Semester System with Credit Hours Management to guide students on their academic journey at IoBM.The Master of Ceremonies gave an insightful overview of IoBM’s Student Societies, emphasizing their role in transforming students into dynamic members of the community who organize events, take initiative, and develop their personalities.

As part of the IoBM tradition, the Orientation session also welcomed an alumnus to share first-hand experiences. This year, Mubashir Bhania, a graduate of BS Computer Science (Spring 2025), currently serving as an Associate Data Engineer at Dun & Bradstreet (South Asia, Middle East), reflected on his academic journey at IoBM. He emphasized the importance of balance,  urging students to manage academics alongside participation in student society events. He encouraged building genuine connections with faculty, classmates, and seniors, and stepping out of their comfort zones to unlock their potential. He advised students to seize opportunities, take ownership of their journey, and make the most of IoBM’s resources. While acknowledging the pressures of deadlines, he reminded students to savor the moment and enjoy the experience. His core message was clear: stay curious, remain open to new possibilities, and take charge of your life.
