Institute of Business Management (IoBM) organized a seminar on “Macroeconomic Trends and Current International Financial State” on Monday, April 02, 2018 at the Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC). Invited to speak at this Seminar was Mr. Mohsin Hafeez, adjunct faculty at Ageno Graduate School of Business, Golden Gate University, the extension arm of the University of California, Berkeley, USA.

The event was organized amid the guidance of IoBM’s Mr. Javaid Ahmed, Senior Fellow, Management and HRM Department. Ms. Sadia Mansoor, Lecturer, Economics Department coordinated this event. Mr. Javaid Ahmed received the distinguished guest at the Seminar which was attended by IoBM’s Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Executive Director, Administration, Admissions and Finance; Dr. Shahida Wizarat, Dean College of Economics and Social Development (CESD) and HoD Economics Department and Mr. Kashif Imran, faculty, Economics Department, students, faculty and management. Dr. Shahida Wizarat presented memento to the distinguished guest at the conclusion of the Seminar.

Mr. Mohsin Hafeez shed light and explored many dimensions of the current macroeconomic issues of Pakistan and global trends including China. His Seminar agenda included history of peaks and troughs, history of the federal reserve actions during the great recession, analysis and overview of the global scene, developed markets, emerging markets,  global catalysts, a narrative of the current events and his own very ideas and insights on an improving global economy, more stable Emerging Markets (EM), rising commodity prices and global demand, the sunset of the global monetary initiative, a gradual rise in yields, reflecting an increasingly better global economy, relative flattening of the ‘yield curve’ in the US, a tax reform passage, with disillusioned promises.

Mr. Mohsin is MBA, CFP® and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services arena, both in Pakistan but mostly in the US. His exposure to a diversified scope of financial services provides him with an edge to better understand the holistic dynamics of the overall financial services and management discipline. As a Financial Planning and Investment professional in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mr. Mohsin helps manage client assets in an advisory capacity for both individuals/families and institutions. In addition, he has conducted seminars and moderated panels on the global macroeconomic conditions in the US and the UK. Mr. Mohsin has an MBA from Golden Gate University and is designated as a CFP® after completing his financial planning coursework at UC Berkeley.
