Three incubated startups at the Shahjehan Syed Karim Incubation Center (SSKIC) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) were exhibitors at the inaugural Sindh Innovative Startups Exhibition 2025 hosted by the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) and FPCCI. Among the three startups of SSKIC, one startup, Bioraff, led by DUHS students, currently incubated in Cohort 4, developed a life-saving spray that prevents the spread of diseases through accidents, was awarded a prize of Rs. 500,000. The other two startups representing SSKIC at this event were Zarai Baramdaat (Cohort 3), IoBM Alumni, created a digital platform that empowers farmers to increase their profitability by 30% through direct exports to international markets. This solution highlights commitment to sustainable agricultural practices and FiltResha (Cohort 3, DUHS), innovated a cost-effective filter paper made from chicken feathers, demonstrating emphasis on eco-friendly solutions. Counsel Generals of Middle Eastern countries were among the notable dignitaries who showed keen interest in IoBM's startups.
