The Center of Information Technology (CIT) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) has officially unveiled the myIoBM application, a groundbreaking step in the institution’s digital transformation journey. The launch ceremony, held on April 30, 2024, was attended by IoBM’s senior leadership, faculty members, and key stakeholders, celebrating this milestone achievement.
The event was graced by presence of Mr. Talib Karim, President IoBM, Ms. Sabina Mohsin, VP FHE and Chief Advisor; Prof. Dr. Tariq Rahim Soomro, Rector; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kashif, Dean CBM; and Dr. Imran Batada, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and Director CIT.
In his opening remarks, President Talib Karim commended the CIT team for their dedication and efficiency in delivering the myIoBM app ahead of its one-semester deadline. He was of the view that this application is not just a technological advancement but a testament to IoBM’s commitment to innovation and excellence. It will revolutionize how students, faculty, and staff interact with the institution, making processes seamless and efficient.
Dr. Imran Batada, CDO and Director CIT, highlighted the app’s significance as a core enterprise solution for the entire IoBM community. He said that myIoBM is designed to be a one-stop platform, integrating academic, administrative, and communication services. From attendance tracking and course materials to fee payments and campus updates, everything is now at your fingertips. Dr. Batada also expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders, including developers, faculty advisors, and administrative teams, whose collaborative efforts made this project a success.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the technical and functional teams who contributed to the app’s development. A cake-cutting ceremony followed, symbolizing the joyous culmination of months of hard work.
