Mastering the essence of Digital Marketing

EMEC-IoBM hosts an interactive workshop

The Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) organized a workshop on Digital Marketing at the Conference Room of the Shahjehan S Karim Center of Excellence on Saturday, August 24, 2019. Zuhair Imran was invited as the resource person to conduct this workshop. Mr. Imran has international experience in digital marketing, brand management, advertising, and enterprise-level digital projects. He has been an advisor to the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) 100 companies including British Petroleum, UK, HSBC, WPP PLC, and is currently associated with Sanofi Pakistan as Senior Digital Manager. He holds an MBA degree from Durham University Business School, UK.

The purpose of this workshop was to share the insights, objectives and best practices the national and international companies follow when pursuing digital marketing. Mr. Imran presented an introduction to the digital landscape and discussed about the various channels used in digital marketing and how companies use each channel based on their business objectives. Mr. Imran presented examples of a number of companies and asked the participants to present their views about digital marketing. The participants also presented a layout for a website which they developed following the specifications as described by Mr. Imran. The workshop was quite interactive in nature. The participants of the workshop represented various sectors including hospitality, pharmaceuticals, education, agriculture, IT and healthcare.
