Sindh Governor, Muhammad Zubair approved the appointment of Mr. Bashir Janmohammad as the Chancellor, Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi for a period of three years, with immediate effect according to IoBM Public Affairs Section.
Mr. Muhammad Bashir Janmohammad is Chairman/Director Westbury Group of Companies, Dalda Foods (Pvt.) Limited, Mapak Edible Oils (Pvt.) Limited (Joint Venture of Pakistan/Malaysia), FWQ Enterprises (Pvt.) Limited (Joint Venture of Pakistan/ Malaysia), Mapak Qasim Bulkers (Pvt.) Limited (Joint Venture of Pakistan/Malaysia), Bulk Management (Pakistan) Private Limited, Wazir Ali Industries Limited; Chairman, Pak – Malaysia Business Council of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry; Member Board, Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan; Past President/ Chairman/Director, Pakistan Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Limited (1979 for 6 years), Pakistan Industrial Credit and Investment Company (PICIC), Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Central Depository Company (2008 – 2010).
Previously, he was Board Member, Port Qasim Authority and is currently official member of various Trade Delegations, entourage with Prime Minister and President of Pakistan to Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Brunei, U.K., Spain. France etc. Mr. Bashir Janmohammad is Life Member of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Council Member of International Seed Crushers Association (ISCA)., U.K. As leader of the delegation, he led NASDAQ and PORTAL to the United States and the United Kingdom in 2007 and was Delegation Leader of Exporters of Pakistan to Malaysia in the year 2012.
His social contributions as Chairman/President Member are Chairman, Centre of Advance Studies in Karachi.
