TCF Ambassadors at Institute of Business Management (IoBM) organized a talk on the theme “Volunteerism: Fostering Empathy for Social Harmony” at the IoBM Auditorium on Saturday, September 09, 2017. Prominent guests invited as panelists to this event were Dr. Ishrat Husain, former Governor, State Bank of Pakistan and Mr. Arif Hasan, Architect, Urban Planner, Activist and Writer. Besides the inspiring presence of IoBM President, Mr. Talib Karim and Dean CBM and CES, Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, the event was largely attended by IoBM Deans, HoDs, faculty, management, students and staff.
TCF Ambassadors at IoBM is a volunteer-led club of undergraduate IoBM students contributing to overcome social disparity through education. These undergraduate student volunteers, along with their studies, dedicate their time to teach children from under-served areas to bridge the academic gaps and help the less-privileged students enter into reputed academic universities on scholarships. Therefore, these Ambassadors, in their pursuit of harnessing the potential in young undergraduate students, organized this thought-provoking talk at the IoBM.
The Program began with the TCF Ambassadors showing a video of their activities. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder delivered the opening speech which was followed by the panel discussion. Mr. Talib Karim distributed the mementos to the esteemed guests and the moderator of the program. The moderator of the program was Mr. Riaz Kamlani, Vice President at The Citizens Foundation.
