The MHM department and CSHM take pride in its tradition of putting a great show in the form health management convention twice a year. As part of our experiential learning commitment, once again a convention was organized to showcase the students’ research based term projects in the form of posters. This mega event included more than 50 posters highlighting diverse issues of the healthcare industry at large. The event boasted immense presence from both academia and industry and received exemplary commendations. As Health care organizations are becoming complex and constantly evolving. The ongoing paradigm shifts of global competitiveness, environmental changes, health regulations, patient-provider interaction, health human resource training and development needs and more rapid medical and technological innovations are transforming health management organizations. The event was designed to cater for such issues keeping in mind the very needs of the industry providing a powerful platform of representatives from consortium of hospitals, pharmaceuticals, NGOs, allied health care organization, health care academic institutions, national and international health care bodies etc.
Present at the moment were renowned and acclaimed personalities boasting from academia and the industry alike, such as Dr. Zaki Rashidi, Dean of SZABIST Karachi, Dr. Naheed Ahmed and Dr. Shafaq Ahmed from Marie Stoppes Society. Sajjad Khan from Herbion, Muhammad Hanif from GSK, Ms. Quratulain Malik from Hilton Pharma, Wasim Safdar from Searle Dr. Asad Jamal, Kamal Quraishi, Rauf Siddique, Dr. Yahya Noori and Dr. Mansoor Manzoor among others. The guests not only evaluated the students but also encouraged and provided their expert opinion and valuable suggestions. Mr. Talib Karim, Rector IoBM, Ms. Sabina Mohsin and Dr. Irfan Hyder, Dean IoBM and CES also present at the moment and commended on the exemplary efforts put forth by the MHM department and the students alike.
