Accounting and Finance Department at IoBM held an Awareness Session on MBA – SME Banking and Entrepreneurship at Institute of Business Management on Saturday July, 21 2018. Invited to preside was Additional Director Mr. Imran Ahmad, State Bank of Pakistan. Panelists invited were CEO of ‘Eden Robe’ Mr. Junaid Dandia and Senior Bankers from Meezan Bank Limited. Present on this occasion were IoBM’s Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Dean CBM and CES and Mr. Muhammad Arsalan, Assistant Professor, Accounting and Finance.
To promote entrepreneurship and small businesses from the perspective of SME Banking, Institute of Business Management (IoBM) has launched a new “MBA Program specializing in SME Banking and Entrepreneurship”. This 36 Credit Hours post-graduate program offers SME-oriented specialization to train entrepreneurs, and executives of small businesses.
Salient features of this program are as follows:
· Strong industry linkage to enable applied learning and job oriented entrepreneurial skills for the students.
· Three months hands-on internship opportunity in a prominent bank.
· Close interaction with the relevant stakeholders such as SBP, leading Commercial Banks, SMEDA and businesses in refining and updating the program contents and learning objectives.
· Employment Prospects.
· Successful Entrepreneurship cases in Pakistan e.g. Eden Robe (the fastest emerging fashion retail brand)
