Sharing achievements of Syed Ahmed Raza Kazmi an IoBM alumnus: reaching career milestone at Philadelphia, University, USA, BS(Actuarial Sciences and Risk Management) from IoBM, with background experience as Account Executive, IM Consultants, Inc.; Research Assistant, Philadelphia University; Account Executive, Excel Consulting Private Limited; Financial Administrator, IT-sense; Assistant Financial Analyst, Al Hoqani Securities and Investment and Financial Coordinator, Home Alliance private Limited.
While pursuing MBA (Finance) at Philadelphia University, he was highlighted by his professors and program director resulting in an on-campus job as a research assistant with Professor D.K Malhotra. He worked on Volatility Spillover project with Professor Malhotra and learned new and improved techniques of conducting research. Meanwhile, as he was working as research assistant, he represented Philadelphia University during multiple corporate visits especially at Bloomberg’s Head Office and Brown Brothers Harriman located at the Wall Street, New York.
By the end of my first semester he represented Philadelphia University in CFA Research Challenge 2015 and was recognized for his outstanding research work. Meanwhile, representing Philadelphia University at its international official tour to Madrid, Spain where he visited Lezama Group, KPMG, PayPal, SAP, Mahu SAN MEGAL, and the European Union. He also worked in close collaboration with the International Student Office to help international students bridge the cultural gap with the US students. Moreover, he has been accepted in the Doctor of Management in Strategic Leadership program at the Philadelphia University and would be the youngest student of that program. He was recently ranked 19th position worldwide in Business Strategy Games with the second best world record.
He remembers the guiding and inspirational words of the Management and faculty at IoBM to always see the better side of life and today he is a proud alumnus of the first batch: BS (ARM) from IoBM. He attributes his parents for their prayers and support and the IoBM family for their able, humble, noble and gentle guidance that made him a shining IoBM alumnus with laurels and honors and more to come, InshaAllah.
