IoBM’s Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) organized a two-day workshop on “Qualitative Research Methodologies and Data Analysis using NVIVO” on April 7-8, 2018 at Lab 1, IT Building, IoBM. The workshop was sponsored by Higher Education Commission and Institute of Business Management. Invited to this workshop as guest trainer was Dr. Rab Nawaz Lodhi, In-charge/Coordinator, PhD Program and Assistant Professor, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore.
This workshop was designed for professional researchers, principal investigators, faculty members and MS/PhD students who want to apply qualitative techniques for the in-depth study of a phenomenon or real world issue. This workshop was focused on learning the application of NVIVO 11 for qualitative data analysis.
Present at the opening ceremony, held at the Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC), IoBM, were IoBMs Mr. Talib Karim, President; Dr. Ejaz Ahmed, Rector; Prof. Dr. Amanat Ali Jalbani, Adviser to President, Head of OGS and Research; Mr. Muhammad Tariq, Coordinator and Assistant Manager, ORIC. It was well-attended by IoBM faculty, MPhil and PhD students and faculty from other universities.
Mr. Talib Karim appreciated the efforts of ORIC-IoBM team for their performance and efforts to arrange such a workshop for faculty and Phd students. Dr. Ejaz Ahmed praised the organizers in making this event a reality. Prof. Dr. Amanat Ali Jalbani welcomed participants of this workshop, which was attended by nearly 50 faculty and PhD students. He thanked the President, Executive Director and Rector of IoBM for their continuous support in holding such workshops events.
At the end of the second day, participants of the workshop received certificates from Dr. Ejaz Ahmed and Prof. Dr. Amanat Ali Jalbani. Participating students appreciated efforts of the guest trainer and by ORIC-IoBM team and showed keen interest to attend such workshops in future.

He has expertise in several quantitative and qualitative tools such as NVIVO, MaxQDA, Atlas-ti, Eviews, SPSS, STATA, SMart PLS, MPlus, Endnote etc. This is the reason he has trained thousands of MS/PhD scholars, PhD faculty members and professional researchers in more than 30 universities and research organization in Pakistan and abroad. He is also HEC Approved PhD Supervisor. He has several international publications in HEC recognized journals as well as the Impact Factor Journals. He is also member of editorial team in 36 international referred journals.
